These Doors are the main entrance of the Shaniwar Wada, Pune...... official residence of the Peshwa. You can see pics of the main building here and info here. I was fascinated by the building as a whole and in parts because not only does it hold childhood memories of looking for haunted underground paths to looking at it with respect of having an interesting historical background.

Impressive is the word tht describes these doors...

Scary doors! (But very impressive!). I'm not sure whether being behind these doors would feel secure and protected or trapped and controlled.

ReplyDeleteThose doors are incredible...really like the positioning of your camera work when you captured those spikes...my other thought was - those spikes would be a nice deterrent to unwanted solicitors:o)
